Above the prosaic retail units of Bull Street, and half hidden by trees and estate agent signs, the urban aesthete will find a mural by Hans Schwarz. The joy of the city is presented to the viewer in the form of a wall relief map comprising 12 overhead views of Euphoria, fashioned in fibreglass, and finished with a weathered-stone-effect coating. Like the pigeons which constantly encircle this sculpture, and the city, shoppers go about their business, blissful, and unaware of beauty on perpetual display. |
